At the Windmill Nursery we recognise the importance of technology. It can let us do lots of fun things as well as learn lots of new information. But it’s very important how to use it safely. We believe that to become worldwide learners we need to use the internet to grow up in the 21st Century. As part of nursery experiences we will use the internet to research things we are interested in, but our time on the internet at nursery will be monitored continually by an adult, with carefully filtered systems in place.
The UK safer internet centre (saferinternet.org.uk) have produced some brilliant how to guides for parents, including mobile phone and tablet internet usage. A highly recommended internet site for parents with pre-school children is: internetmatters.org.
We hope that these internet sites will help you to feel confident in accessing the internet with your child.
