We are coming to the end of term with only a few weeks left until we break up for the end of term break. But there are plenty of activities and fun for the children to participate in, especially with Christmas around the corner!
We would like to reassure parents/carers that if your child has not done a “craft” activity (painting or sticking), it does not mean that they have not been busy; they have been busy learning through their play by doing other activities.
WANTED
Old Christmas decorations that you no longer require, buttons, newspapers, materials and VERY large cardboard boxes please.
PARKING
Please park considerately to our neighbours by NOT parking across their driveway. We understand parking can get busy on St John’s Road, but we have had complaints that people have parked across their driveway.
COATS
Please make sure that all coats/jumpers/cardigans have your child’s name on it. We cannot return it to the right owner without it!! Also, when collecting your child’s items and clothing, please make sure that it is your child’s and not another child’s, as children do become distressed when their items cannot be found, thank you.
CAKE SALE
The Christmas cake sale will be held on Monday, 10th December 2018. We will also be having raffle tickets that will be on sale soon. Please support the nursery and buy a ticket! The raffle will be drawn during the Christmas party on Friday, 14th December 2018.
DONATIONS for the cake sale and for any raffle prizes will be much appreciated, thank you.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The last day for ‘normal’ nursery sessions will be Wednesday, 12th December 2018. On Thursday, 13th December 2018, we will be holding our annual Christmas concert both in the morning and the afternoon. Details on which concert your child will be attending will be placed onto the nursery door. If your child is attending the morning concert, please ensure that you bring them to nursery at 9.50am; if your child is attending the afternoon concert please bring them to nursery at 12.50pm, thank you. Due to fire regulations prams/buggies will not be permitted into the nursery building. During the concert, digital recordings are also not permitted, however, the nursery will be making a recording of DVDs to be sold at a later date.
Tickets for the Christmas concert are available from Sue; please note that the tickets are free!
CHRISTMAS PARTY
The Christmas party will be held on Friday, 14th December 2018, both in the morning and the afternoon. Please see the nursery door for information on which party your child will be attending. The time for the morning party will be 10.00am until 11.30am and the time for the afternoon party will be 1.00pm until 2.30pm. We will be asking for food donations for the Christmas party. A notice will be put up shortly. There is a small fee for the party of £5.00 per child (for a present from Father Christmas, in a clearly marked envelope with your child’s name on). Please pay monies to Sue as soon as possible, thank you.
We will be returning to nursery on Monday, 7th January 2019.
Could all nursery fees and party fees, please be paid for by Wednesday, 12th December 2018, as it will not be possible to take money on concert or party days?
